Validated Glioblastoma Xenograft Models

AUSTIN, Texas – April 22, 2025 – Glioblastoma remains among the most therapeutically resistant human cancers, characterized by diffuse invasion, resistance to conventional treatment, and high mortality. Progress depends on models that reproduce those properties rather than models chosen for convenience of growth. Altogen Labs validated glioblastoma models include published documentation that covers cell handling under aseptic conditions, implantation, acclimatization, tumor measurement and clinical observation schedules, humane endpoint criteria defined in the study design, and termination. Following tumor resection, tumors are weighed and digitally imaged, and collected samples are frozen, fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin for histology, or stabilized in RNAlater for nucleic acid work. Advanced monitoring options include bioluminescence imaging and MRI for real-time assessment of tumor progression and treatment response, complemented by immunohistochemistry, molecular profiling, survival analysis, and histopathological evaluation.
