AUSTIN, Texas – October 21, 2025 – Altogen Labs has published technical documentation for its validated colorectal cancer xenograft models, including a review of xenografts that were used to dissect epigenetic control of tumor growth. Colorectal cancer presents a global health challenge driven by genetic mutations, environmental influences, and microenvironmental interactions, and is frequently diagnosed at advanced stages when treatment options narrow. The documentation reviews work in which lactoferrin was shown to suppress HT29 xenograft tumor growth in diabetic C57BL/6 and BALB/c nude mice, with efficacy enhanced in combination approaches. Mechanistic analysis implicated a WTAP/m6A/NT5DC3/HKDC1 regulatory axis, with 5-methylcytosine and N6-methyladenosine modifications altered at specific regulatory loci.
