Altogen Labs Personalized Oncology Platform Combines PDX, Patient-Derived Cultures, and Organoids

AUSTIN, Texas – December 1, 2025 – Altogen Labs today detailed its personalized oncology platform, which combines patient-derived xenografts, patient-derived cell cultures, and patient-derived organoids into an integrated system for predicting drug efficacy in genetically and clinically characterized cancer models.

Cell line-derived xenografts remain the reproducible workhorse of preclinical oncology, and Altogen Labs maintains one of the largest validated collections available from any independent CRO. But established cell lines have drifted through decades of culture, and for programs targeting specific patient populations, models that preserve the genetics and histology of the originating tumor matter.

The Altogen Labs platform spans that range. Patient-derived xenografts retain the genetic and histological character of the source tumor. Patient-derived cell cultures provide an in vitro system from the same material for higher-throughput screening. Patient-derived organoids offer three-dimensional architecture that better reflects tumor structure and drug penetration. Used together, they allow a compound to be profiled from screening through in vivo efficacy in matched material.

Immuno-oncology programs are served by humanized and immunodeficient rodent models engrafted with peripheral blood mononuclear cells, CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells, and induced pluripotent stem cells, enabling investigation of tumor-immune interactions and immunotherapeutic strategies.

Combined with in vivo testing in humanized models, this approach is designed to deliver the strongest achievable preclinical data package ahead of an IND filing. All studies are conducted in the company’s GLP-compliant, IACUC-regulated Austin, Texas facility, with complete documentation and full IP ownership retained by the sponsor.
