AUSTIN, Texas – June 12, 2026 – Altogen Labs today detailed its collection of validated syngeneic and allograft murine models, providing immuno-oncology sponsors with tumor models that grow in fully immunocompetent hosts.
Immunocompromised xenograft models remain essential for evaluating direct antitumor activity, but they cannot answer the central question in immuno-oncology: does the compound engage a functioning immune system? Checkpoint inhibitors, immune agonists, cancer vaccines, and cell-engaging therapies require a host with intact T cell, B cell, and myeloid compartments.
The Altogen Labs syngeneic collection covers the major tumor types used in immuno-oncology research: CT26 and MC38 for colorectal, 4T1 for breast, B16 for melanoma including subcutaneous and metastatic configurations, LL2 for lung, EL4 and A20 for lymphoma, Renca for kidney, S180 for sarcoma, and H22 and Hepa 1-6 for liver cancer.
These complement the company’s humanized model platform, which uses immunodeficient rodents engrafted with peripheral blood mononuclear cells, CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells, or induced pluripotent stem cells for programs requiring a human immune compartment.
Study designs incorporate immune response and biomarker analysis, cytokine profiling by ELISA, tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte assessment, gene expression analysis, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry, alongside standard tumor growth delay endpoints. Multiple dosing routes and schedules are supported, including intratumoral administration.
All studies are performed by experienced personnel at the company’s GLP-compliant, IACUC-regulated Austin, Texas facility.
