AUSTIN, Texas – July 1, 2026 – Altogen Labs today detailed its humanized mouse model platform, developed for immunotherapy programs whose mechanism depends on engagement with human immune cells.
The problem these models solve is specific. A therapeutic antibody designed against a human immune receptor will not engage a mouse receptor. A bispecific T cell engager needs human T cells to engage. Syngeneic models provide an intact immune system, but a murine one — and for programs where human-specific binding is the entire mechanism, murine immunity cannot substitute.
Altogen Labs offers immunodeficient rodents engrafted with peripheral blood mononuclear cells for rapid reconstitution of human effector cells, CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells for longer-term multi-lineage human immune development, and induced pluripotent stem cells. These platforms support investigation of tumor-immune system interactions and immunotherapeutic strategies, and can be combined with the company’s validated human tumor models to place a human tumor and a human immune compartment in the same animal.
Study designs incorporate immune response and biomarker analysis, cytokine profiling by ELISA, tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte assessment, flow cytometry, gene expression analysis, immunohistochemistry, and histopathology, alongside tumor growth delay endpoints.
The humanized platform complements the company’s syngeneic collection — CT26, MC38, 4T1, B16, LL2, EL4, A20, Renca, S180, H22, and Hepa 1-6 — allowing sponsors to select the immunological context appropriate to their mechanism.
