Altogen Labs Gastric Cancer Xenograft Collection Supports HER2 and MET-Targeted Development Programs

AUSTIN, Texas – September 21, 2021 – Altogen Labs today detailed its validated gastric cancer xenograft collection, comprising seven in-house validated models spanning the molecular subtypes that define modern gastric cancer development.

Gastric cancer is among the leading causes of cancer mortality worldwide and among the most molecularly heterogeneous. Programs targeting HER2, MET, FGFR2, and immune checkpoints all require models carrying the relevant alteration – and a compound tested against a model lacking its target will produce a null result that says nothing about the compound.

The Altogen Labs collection includes NCI-N87, widely used in HER2-directed antibody and antibody-drug conjugate development; MKN-45 and HS746T, established models for MET-driven disease; SNU5 and SNU-16, used in FGFR2-amplified and diffuse-type gastric cancer research; AGS; and SGC-7901.

Each model is validated in-house through tumor growth curves established and reproduced across multiple independent studies, and is available in subcutaneous, orthotopic, and metastatic configurations. Bioluminescent tracking is available for orthotopic studies where internal tumor burden cannot be assessed by caliper.

Study packages include tumor growth delay analysis, hematology, histopathology, biomarker screening, pharmacokinetic analysis, and molecular endpoint measurement by RT-PCR and automated capillary Western, delivered with complete raw data and statistical treatment.
