CNS drug development carries the highest attrition rate in the industry, and the reason is rarely potency. Altogen Labs has demonstrated functional delivery of small RNA and plasmid DNA across the blood-brain barrier into glioblastoma tissue in murine glioma models, and maintains orthotopic glioma xenograft models supporting biodistribution and imaging studies. Together these allow a sponsor to move from in vitro permeability assessment to confirmed in vivo brain exposure within a single laboratory.
